....the friendliest of the big cats.

Ever dreamed you might be able to handle some of the world's most amazing wildlife?
Cheetahs are the fastest land animal in the world, and in the wild they are found only in Africa.
Canberra's National Zoo & Aquarium offers one of the most amazing animal experiences in Australia - the opportunity to have hands-on contact, pat and play with one of these amazing cats.
During your Meet A Cheetah experience, you will be in the same enclosure
as the cheetahs. At all times an experienced zookeeper will be with you to answer your questions and guide you as you interact with this incredible animal. Check out our TV ad below or See our TV ad using Media Player

HOW MUCH FOR SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE?

The Meet A Cheetah experience costs $150 per person. Participants need not pay for Zoo entry on the day of their encounter.
There is a maximum of 2 people per encounter to ensure safety and an optimal experience.

Gift certificates are available and are valid for 6 months.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?

Bring your camera and take as many photos as you like. If you are booking an experience by yourself, one of the zookeepers
directing the encounter will be more than happy to take photos for you.

WHEN CAN I MEET A CHEETAH?

Meet A Cheetah operates daily, between 2 and 3 pm. Meeting times are in 15 minute intervals and a maximum of 2 people go into the enclosure with the Keeper per session. At peak times, extra sessions may be opened up in the mornings. Places are strictly limited and bookings are essential.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS?

You must be a minimum of 1.5 metres tall and at least 12 years old to meet the cheetah.
Prior to a booking being made, the National Zoo & Aquarium must be made aware of any disability
that may prevent someone from understanding directions, could result in unpredictable behavior, or that
interferes with a persons mobility. If you are pregnant you should consult your doctor before interacting with
cats of any type. Any other questions? Click here
