The award winning Zooventure Tour is one of the most hands-on zoo experiences available in Australia, and possibly the world. If you're an animal lover looking for the thrill of a lifetime, then a ZooVenture tour at the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra is just the thing. The Zooventure is a 2 hour behind the scenes guided tour that offers participants the opportunity to feed a variety of amazing animals, and experience a bounty of rare and close-up encounters.View the video using Media Player

Animals that are usually included are: Tigers, Lions, Cougars, Giraffes, Eland, Brown Bears, Sun Bears, Otters, Dingoes, Snakes  & Colobus Monkeys.

  COST:
This amazing tour is only $110.00 per person on weekdays and $135.00 on weekends and public holidays
Discounts apply for online bookings.
Participants do not have to pay extra for Zoo entry on the day of their Tour, so have all day access to the Zoo and its facilities.

Gift Vouchers are available. These can be purchased in person
at the Zoo, over the phone (allow 5 - 7 working days for postage) and are valid for 6 months.

You must be a minimum of 10 years old. (If you have children under this age, please see below for details on our FAMILY TOUR)
This is a 2 hour walking tour, so participants need good mobility. Zooventure is a private tour that goes into areas of the Zoo where there is no public access, so please be aware that any accompanying family or friends may not follow the tour. Any other Questions? Click here

Similar to the popular Zooventure , this interactive tour is designed with younger children in mind, and for mums and dads to enjoy with their kids! Come face to face with creatures both great and small. Join this fun family adventure that is sure to thrill both young and old!

Feel the warm breath of a giraffe on your face, experience the rush of looking a big cat in the eye.
Enjoy the antics of the otters and monkeys, challenge yourself to hold or touch a snake, make friends with dingo's, kangaroos and emus.

The family tour encompasses the best of the zoo in a relaxed and safe atmosphere. Participants will go behind the scenes to meet and feed some of the zoos favourite animals. See you at the zoo!
 COST:
The Family Tour is just $60.00 per person on weekdays and $70.00 on weekends. Online discounts apply for bookings. Participants need not pay for Zoo entry on the day of their Tour, so have all day access to the Zoo and its facilities.

Children must be a minimum of 4 years old to participate. (If you have other children under this age, exceptions may made for accompaning siblings on the tour. Please contact the zoo for terms and conditions prior to making a booking)

 BOOKINGS:
Are essential. Tours run from 4.00pm to 5.30pm Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
(Tours run with prior bookings only, minimum 5 days in advance online - please contact the Zoo if your required date is less than this, as we may be able to add you to a tour already scheduled))
