On the evenings of the 13th and 14th of February, we invite you to join us for a one of a kind after-hours experience designed especially for the animal lovers and romantics at heart. This adults-only evening blends education, adventure, and indulgence as you uncover the funny, flirty, and sometimes downright scandalous ways animals woo their partners in the wild.
Your evening begins with zoo entry, giving you the chance to enjoy a relaxed stroll through the grounds before the night’s festivities begin. Settle in on the Jamala Terrace to enjoy a premium beverage paired with delectable sweet treats, the perfect way to toast to love before heading out on your guided adventure.
As part of this unforgettable tour, you will enjoy a range of up-close animal experiences, including:
A reptile meet and greet
Tiger and giraffe feeding experiences
The chance to pat one of our friendly rhino boys, Ubuntu or Eco
Along the way, you will learn all about animal mating and dating, discover some surprising courtship behaviours, and see some of our animal residents enjoy special enrichment prepared just for the occasion.
Not only will you leave with a deeper understanding of the animal kingdom, you will also be supporting a meaningful cause. All proceeds from ‘Woo at the Zoo’ will be donated to the Lion Recovery Fund, an organisation dedicated to doubling the number of lions in Africa. Through strategic investment and collaboration with public and private partners, the Fund works to create thriving savannah landscapes where Africa’s people, economic development, and lions can coexist.
